We were on the scene for the first ART BASEL MIAMI BEACH and helped to position a new gallery, DOT FIFTYONE into a dynamic destination in the Wynwood Art District, says Hope. Hope International brought UBS, the overall sponsor of Art Basel to this unknown gallery to sponsor their coming out party during Art Basel giving them incredible credibility.
For the second year that Art Basel graced our Magic City, Hope International decided to light up the town for Art Baselliterally, at the I.M.Pei designed BANK OF AMERICA TOWER AT INTERNATIONAL PLACE which graces the skyline with an ever-changing palette of light. The Art Basel kick-off event was coined First & Biggest as the 47 story I.M.PEI building which itself is a work of art, became living, breathing art. As the wind blew, the light would change during Art Basel week. This was a tribute to the Art Loves Architecture segment of Art Basel. Danet Linares, VP of Marketing & Leasing for Blue Capital, the owner of The Bank of America Tower at International Place that hosted the event had this to say, The Art Basel event Hope International organized was exactly the type of upscale event Blue Capital envisioned hosting in the building.
When TURCHIN PROPERTIES wanted to create awareness for the waterfront property they bought, the original Woolworth estate on the private island of Indian Creek, between the homes of Julio Iglesias and the Bramans, Hope International was called upon. Hope says, We helped orchestrate an event that brought the sex appeal of South Beach to the secluded life of this very private country club community. The original Indian Creekers were shocked to see the POW WOW that gathered inside their guarded gates. Guests arrived by both water and land decked out in Indian costumes as sexy Pocahontas and Indian chiefs in loinclothsThis event was named the Best Real Estate Theme Party in Sunposts Best of issue. For an encore, Hope International produced a Miami Boat Show extravaganza titled MYKONOS MEETS MIAMI at the Turchin estate, CASA BLANCA on HIBISCUS ISLAND. This Greek themed party invited Gods &Goddesses of the yachting world to meet and mingle at the most unique home in South Florida. The home won the 2005 best home design by the Builders Association. And the guests were once again wowedeven the jaded South Beach scenesters are still talking about this event. The luxury brands showcased were the best of the best in their respective categories: FERRETTI, TIFFANY, MAYBACH
Also, for the Miami Boat Show, Hope International produced a special evening named MONTE CARLO IN MIAMI for ROLLS ROYCE to showcase their Phantoms in front of The Forge in conjunction with the ROBB REPORT and SHOWBOATS MAGAZINE. Guests were treated to wine and dine in the exclusive wine cellar of The Forge. Next, Hope International is traveling to Monte Carlo for MONACO RENDEZVOUS for the Showboats Awards main event this June.
The MIAMI CITY BALLET was featured this Spring at a spectacular event Hope International brought to another amazing estate, VILLA VECCHIA where the dancers performed in a private ballroom. Hope International brought the highly anticipated KARU&Y restaurant and lounge to open Fall 2005 near the Performing Arts Center to this event to underwrite it. Their goal for the event was to become good citizens of the ballet, their future neighbor at PAC. Guests concluded that the event was one of the most elegant and refined ever attended in Miami.
And for a Season Finale it is fitting for Hope International president, Hope Gainer to be Chairman for the NEW WORLD SYMPHONY party titled Classical Music with an Edge happening June 4. This events goal is to introduce the organization to a younger audience. The venue Hope chose is a Zen-like home on Palm Island owned by Sothebys Realty. An evening under the stars will join the classical with the contemporary as a talented violinist will blend his music with a hip DJ while hipsters, socialites and music lovers are in their glory.
